What is collected
When your browser loads a page from thepoorman.net, the servers that deliver the site record a few technical details: your IP address, the page you asked for, the date and time, the address of the page that sent you here if your browser passes it on, and your browser and device type. Every website receives this information as part of delivering a page.
These server logs are used only to deliver the site, keep it secure and find faults. They are kept for a limited period and then deleted. They are not used to build a profile of you, they are not combined with other data, and they are never sold or shared for advertising.
If you send an email, the message and your address are kept for as long as it takes to answer and, where you report a mistake, to keep a record of the correction.
Cookies and tracking
The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or social media scripts. Fonts and images are served from the site itself, so reading a page does not send your details to anyone else. Your browser may keep its own cache of the pages and images you viewed; you can clear it in your browser settings at any time.
Other websites
Some pages mention public bodies and nonprofit organizations by name. If you visit one of them, their own privacy policy applies there.
Your choices
Because no account or profile exists, there is very little held about any reader. You can still ask what information relates to you, ask for it to be deleted, or ask a question about this notice. Depending on where you live, the law may give you further rights over your information, and the email below is the place to use them. Requests are answered within 30 days.
If the way the site handles information changes, for example by adding a tool that sets a cookie, this page and the date at the top will be updated first.
